I talked about how I was going to post an entry about the people that I remember and inspired me to be who I am today. I was first going to just list them all out and how they inspired me, but now I am thinking I will just list them by a certian category. I’m thinking it will be by time frame of when I was with them, for instance, all my Yuma, Arizona friends, then Okinawa, ones from home and etc. So, let me start off with the training friends. My before friends are a bit complicated so I’ll do them later.

MCRD San Diego, SOI Camp Pendleton, Logistics School Camp Johnson:
Recurit Mesa ( now a Marine somewhere ), Drill Instructor Sgt Gomez; actully, all of them. They were quite important to my image of the Marine Corps, from SOI was this Sergeant, a grunt, who taught me alot about just dealing with the idiots in the Corps; thats pretty much everyone from SOI. In school there was this Lance Corporal, also a grunt, who taught me alot about how the fleet works. After that, thats all that I really think helped me in my training sector of the Marine Corps.

My next post will be about the friends from Yuma, Arizona. As you can see, I didn’t have that much motivation in the beginning, but I think I’ll have more to say about my friends from Yuma. April talked about this as a meme and I think that was a great idea. I challenge you, find a certian time period and describe the friends that inspired you. I am doing this just so I can think back and reflect on how they changed me and my life. And when you do, please link it or tell me about it, I want to read yours as much as you just might have read mine.
