holy crap did i suck! nah. i didn’t suck, but i didn’t shoot well. infact. i didn’t shoot to the standards that the marine corps holds. we went to camp hansen to shoot on their range. we bzo’s our weapons at camp schwab. bzo means that make our weapons shoot straight. well. all week i shot good. out of a score of 65, i shot 27 the first day, 31 the next day, and on the final day, where we have to shoot a minimum of 25, i shot a 24. the pits ( we don’t use electronic targets so Marines still have to manualy pull down, mark and put back up the targets. its called working the pits and we get yelled at for doing a crappy job. ) didn’t hook me up. usually, they would help the Marine out and hook them up. i got screwed. so now i’m going to go back to my work and get yelled at because i didn’t shoot good enough on the day that it counted. not to mention this sun burn!

also, yea. just a little story. see on our targets, in the pits. its like a pully system. so we have to push and pull the targets in and out of the pits. basicly, here is the breakdown of it. we get new targets made ( by us of course ) and then we put them half-mast which is where only half is seen by the shooters. then the shoots get into their prep time to get their position straight. thats when we push the targets up. then they get out of their prep time and we pull them half-mast again. then they load and get ready to fire. then we push our targets up and they fire. once they hit we lower it, find the hit, mark it with a scoring or hit disc, then run it up so the shooter can see it. if you want a complete break down, just ask me in an email or something. but anyway, on the carriages that the targets go on, we have weights to help them go easier up and down. well these weights are ammo cans with rocks in them. well this guy got hit in the head with the ammo can and the corner got him and holy crap. just look!
